We are one of few care agencies in Yavapai County who currently use the State of Arizona's Fundamentals of Caregiving Curriculum including Aging and Physical Disabilities and Developmental Disabilities Module.
Some agencies train their staff for a half a day and send them to your home. Our caregivers must pass the curriculum and skills check offs from the State of Arizona before we will hire them to work at our agency. In addition, our caregivers are required to take and pass CPR, First Aid and 6 hours of continuing education per year.
Our caregivers must have a background check by the State of Arizona and must maintain a clean Fingerprint Clearance Card in order to work at our agency.
Helping Hands provides caregivers who have been thoroughly trained, screened, bonded and insured for clients’ protection.
Caregiver screening normally includes Fingerprint Clearance, TB testing, CPR and First Aid certifications, and verified references.
