Direct Care Workers are mandated by the State of Arizona to get 6 hours of continuing education per year.
Caregivers can receive their continuing education anywhere, as long as it relates to caregiving, safety or diseases, and you all you have to do is provide us with proof of attendance.
CPR and First Aid are not considered continuing education by the state.
Helping Hands has some free continuing education available.
You can read the material online, print the test on your printer, take it and return it to the office, or you can come into the office and check out continuing education books, if you would like to use ours.
Most tests are worth 1 hour of continuing education.
